Plating, Zinc/Iron Over Ferrous Surfaces
This specification defines performance requirements for an electrolytically deposited alloy coating of zinc/iron. This specification was released originally to define performance requirements for zinc/iron alloy coatings where corrosion protective and/or decorative finishes on ferrous surfaces are required. A supplementary surface treatment (of trivalent chrome and/or hexavalent chromium free coating) must be applied to coated parts to retard formation of white corrosion products.
