ZINC IRON PLATING SPECIFICATION – NISSAN – M4059

This standard applies to iron and steel automotive parts coated with zinc iron alloy plating (thereafter referred to as plating) for decorative purposes to prevent corrosion. The coated surface is referred to as the effective surface. Specifications in this standard are applicable only to the effective surfaces. Corrosion preventive qualities for surfaces other than the effective surfaces are to be determines by the personnel involved in the testing. Effective surface designation is as specified in the illustrations (or the inspection standards).
