ZINC IRON PLATING SPECIFICATION – NMR – 01001

The aim of this standard is to characterize the coating that will have to be set on automotive brake hose metallic parts such as fittings or brackets. These parts have to undergo high deformation rates, such as crimping or rolling, thus the corrosion resistance must be evaluated on crimped serial parts.

ZnNi I : Colorless alkaline Zinc Nickel
ZnNi I FR : Colorless alkaline Zinc Nickel + Sealant
ZnNi I FRL : Colorless alkaline Zinc Nickel + Sealant + Lubricant
MFZn “A” TC : Zinc/Iron plating + clear trivalent chromate
SnZn “B” : Tin Zinc plating without chromate
