DIN – DIN 50962
Electrodeposited coatings – Chromated coatings of zinc alloys on iron and steel
This standard applies to chromate zinc-alloy coatings on ferrous materials containing nickel or iron alloy components. It specifies minimum corrosion resistances for various service condition numbers as well as the corresponding localized minimum coating layer thicknesses required to achieve these properties. The coatings or coating systems are used as protection against corrosion and/or for cosmetic/decorative purposes. This Standard does not apply to semi-finished products.
